The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will show you precisely what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that indicates the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the water tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. Unlike last year's model it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean them without missing a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.
The only negative I found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these advanced features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40

Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or in a series. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has numerous features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has many features that make it stand out. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and smaller dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a great method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's an impressive amount of settings available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
